The Mars rug is an artistic exploration born from the fusion of human uncertainty in the face of the unknown and our tendency to create symbols to understand it. Inspired by the perception of the red planet, Mars, this design evokes a pictographic language that connects our past to a possible future on other worlds.

The predominant color, a deep red, represents the Martian essence—an enigmatic and inhospitable environment that we have humanized through stories, science, and mythology. Just as our ancestors carved the first pictograms into rock to explain their reality, Mars envisions how we might express our impressions and discoveries in an extraplanetary context.

Designed by Studio Fuksas, the rug invites reflection: if Mars became our canvas, what would our cultural expression look like in the face of the unexplored? The organic strokes, reminiscent of natural and abstract forms, suggest an evolution in our visual language, bridging the ancient with the futuristic.
