DESCRIPTION
Antonella Negri creates a contemporary carpet that is a triumph of form and colour. The pattern symbolises a children’s abacus, one of those old school instruments that help young children to learn the rudiments of arithmetic. The pattern of the carpet itself, with its uneven lines and dots, recalls the uncertain stroke that is characteristic of children’s drawings.
