DESCRIPTION
Art: that is the appropriate word to describe this conceptual carpet. In the pattern, a lion is depicted resting in the savannah. The animal’s mane (in silk) and its tail (in rope and detached from the rest of the carpet) are clearly recognisable. The handwork of the piece is very unusual, requiring the use of two looms.
